We all know that the weather might not be the best in Manchester but the city has always been recognised as being one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the world. A recent poll from ‘Time Out’ has confirmed that Manchester is the 28th most livable city in the world!
They quizzed over 15,000 people in around 32 cities from all over the world to vote on the city that they think is the best to live in in the world. The poll focused on key areas such as food, culture, happiness, affordability and friendliness in the hope to finally try and find the best city.

Berlin, Germany
London, UK
Madrid, Spain
Mexico City, Mexico
Liverpool, UK
Tokyo, Japan
Rome, Italy
Porto, Portugal
Manchester is the place with the most people who can’t get through the day without a cuppa, while its great drinking scene, live music and friendliness saw it ranked seventh. The local people of Manchester have described that the best thing about living here is that ‘we carry on, no matter what’.
Not only was it ranked seventh in this year’s poll, but in previous polls it has been ranked as the best place to live in UK above London. Nothing says more about a city than the people who live in it and Mancunians are notoriously known for being fiercely proud and having a great community spirit.
So, Manchester is a great place to live and work – not so grim up north eh!
